Founded in 2022, built by community, and growing with every season.
Founded in 2022 in Portland, Oregon by fashion producer Andrew Faalogo, Le Pasefika Runway was created to celebrate and uplift the voices of BIPOC, LGBTQ2SIA+, Pacific Islander and more designers, all under one roof. More than just a fashion show, it is a bold, community-driven platform that champions diversity, inclusivity, and self-expression in an industry that has often overlooked these voices.
The spotlight extends beyond designers to include models of all body types, abilities, and backgrounds. Our shows have featured first-time designers and models, many of whom never imagined themselves on a runway. What they found was not just visibility, but empowerment and community.
Now entering our fifth year, the show welcomes a new group of designers and models ready to take the stage. For some designers this is the first time debuting a full collection, and for many models it will be their very first runway walk.
Le Pasefika Runway continues to pave a new path in fashion, one where representation is not a trend but a foundation. A space where stories are told through style, identity is honored through design, and every person is celebrated exactly as they are.
The inaugural show, held at the Native Arts and Cultures Foundation's Center for Native Arts and Cultures and brought to life by family, friends, and local fashion professionals.
The runway returned for its second year at Avenue Portland, growing the community of designers, models, and creatives behind it.
The third annual show took the stage at The Redd on Salmon Street.
The fourth year filled the house at Porsche Studio Portland, setting the stage for the fifth annual show in 2026.
Founder
He is the founder of Le Pasefika Runway and has been actively involved in the fashion industry since 1994. His passion for fashion was ignited at an early age, influenced by his family's deep-rooted appreciation for personal style, cultural expression, and craftsmanship. As a child, he learned the fundamentals of garment construction, presentation, and creativity by observing and participating in family-led fashion endeavors. These early experiences laid the foundation for a lifelong commitment to fashion as both an art form and a platform for empowerment.
Over the years, he has built a diverse and extensive portfolio, gaining hands-on experience in retail, visual merchandising, fashion show production, and creative direction. His work has taken him behind the scenes at numerous fashion events across the West Coast, where he developed a keen eye for detail and a deep understanding of what it takes to bring a show to life, from casting and styling to lighting and stage design.
As a leader and visionary, he is a passionate advocate for inclusivity and representation within the fashion industry. He believes that fashion should be accessible to all people, regardless of race, body type, gender identity, ability, or socioeconomic background. Through Le Pasefika Runway, he continues to create space for BIPOC, LGBTQIA+, and differently abled creatives to be seen, celebrated, and heard. His mission is to not only showcase diverse talent but to challenge and redefine industry standards, inspiring a more equitable and representative future for fashion.
Season 5 is built the same way the first show was, by community. Walk the runway, debut a collection, or lend a hand behind the scenes.
