Founded in 2022 in Portland, Oregon, Le Pasefika Runway was created to celebrate and uplift the voices of Pasefika, BIPOC, LGBTQ2SIA+, and differently-abled designers, all under one roof. It is a bold, community-driven platform that champions diversity, inclusivity, and self-expression in an industry that has often overlooked these voices.
The spotlight extends beyond designers to include models of all body types, abilities, and backgrounds. Many of our designers debut their very first full collection here, and many of our models take their very first runway walk on our stage. What they find is not just visibility, but empowerment and community.
This year brings together cultural heritage and forward-thinking fashion. Designers are invited to honor the traditions, stories, textiles, and craftsmanship of their communities while transforming those influences into bold, experimental, and innovative design. Dramatic silhouettes. Unexpected materials. Contemporary interpretations of traditional garments. A fresh vision of how culture can shape the future of fashion.
